ANd i met a boy! who writes poetry adn seemed like he may like me, for a friend at least! it's cool. i'll see him in like two weeks when they have another reading. sigh. it was really fun, adn the group of people seems to be really cool. who knows...maybe i'll even get the courage to go up there and read somehting! woohoo! who knows. sigh. i am alright, not great...gah. these two boys i tell ya...i wish they would just talk to me...i mean...who knows. just when things get okay with one, they fall apart with the other. and i am begining to get over brnadon a little. i mean, we are meant to be together, and he's going to realize it, but i'm not gonna wait for it to happen. i just hate that he can find time now to hang out with people(including girls) when he couldn't when we were together. it just hurts because it shows that he really didn't love me like i thought. i mean...he would have found time if he did, ya know? sigh...what can i do though. who knows. i really do miss having him though, there are so many times that i just want to call him up, but then i remeber i can't. i wish we'd never broken up. and i wish he loved me again like he once did, but he is going to. i know it. i have to beleive that. sigh. then tehre is the other boy, and who knows what is gogin on there...any kind of feeling i had that were more then just slight friendship have pretty much diminished. so whatever. i mean...i am still angry at him for doing this...i feel very used. i mean...yeah. he pretty much used me to get what he wanted, and he lied when he said all those things to me...because now he doesn't even talk to me, and yeah, he's busy, but he doesn't TRY, do i expect to much of my guy friends? or just the ones i have a history with? why do i keep repeating this pattern???sigh. i am really just sick of it, but who knows. all i know is i miss brandon more then anything, but i am doing okay. it's hard and painful, but i am doing alright, *my green eyes are gonna look so pretty, no one's gonna know i cried* sigh...still have twenty minuets of nothingness time lol, think i am gonna go find somewhere to erad my book at...later.

Goodbye to You
Michelle Branch

Of all the things
I've believed in
I just want to
Get it over with
Tears form behind my eyes
But I do not cry
Counting the days
That pass me by
I've been searching
Deep down in my soul
Words that I'm hearing
Are starting to get old
It feels like
I'm starting all over again
The last three years
Were just pretend
And I said

"Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything
I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that
I tried to hold on to"

I still get lost in your eyes
And it seems that
I can't live a day without you
Closing my eyes and
You chase my thoughts away
To a place where
I am blinded by the light
But it's not right

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything
I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that
I tried to hold on to

And it hurts to want everything
And nothing at the same time
I want what's yours
And I want what's mine
I want you
But I'm not giving in this time

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything
I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that
I tried to hold on to
The one thing that
I tried to hold on to

And when the stars fall
I will lie awake
You're my shooting star

so. why is brandon so stupid? i mean...he has to love me still...doesn't he? or were the last three years pretend(like the song says)i don't understand what i did to deserve this...but i tried to find something right away to fill this emptyness...and i found someone to help fill it a tiny bit...but now he's turned into an idiot too. why do guys keep hurting me? that's it..the end. i am never going to trust another boy again. seriously. why should i??? Males just end up hurting me...it's been that way since i was born...

Goodness. my mind hurts...not my head just my mind...i wish that i could think clearly enough about all this and him to write...pain is good for writing...it would give me lots of material..but alas...i can't, i've tried, and i can't. maybe because i just can't sort out my feelings...sigh. why does this have to be so hard? so i am just gonna steal other people's words to explain how i feel

You Know You've Been in Chorus too Long If...

When you hear music you start marking time.

You instantly start tapping the rhythm to ANY song you hear.

You can remember the order of flats and sharps easier then your name.

When you CAN sight-read.

All letters past G are not important.

All numbers past eight are not important.

You were never great in math, but you can convert time signatures (IE: 4/4 into 2/4) without thinking twice.

Your math teacher knows the only way you'll ever understand anything is if she relates it to music.

You point out the key changes in songs on the radio.

You lament about the inadequate quality of the voice singing on the radio in your friend's car

A good excuse for anything is, "Its a musician thing."

All your friends are in chorus.

Half the people you know play at least the piano fairly well.

When non-chorus friends ask you how your life is, you say, "OH! Our director is such a..." or "We just won straight superiors at state!" or "I HAVE to tell you about what Justin did on the bus this time!!!"

You accidentally call your director "Mom."

You repeat calling her Mom until she posts a sign in the chorus room that says, "This is NOT your bedroom. I am NOT YOUR MOTHER. I will NOT pick up after you."

You'd rather DIE then go to class or a rehearsal without a sharpened pencil, full water bottle, a bottle of Tylenol, your Music, a WARM sweatshirt, and an empty bladder.

Law of Nature I-You WILL have to pee ten minutes into class, no matter how long you sit on the toilet.

Law of Nature II-Everyone will have a crush or go out with at least one other person in chorus.

One of your favorites past times is gossiping about the official chorus couples.

A decent soprano is a dime a dozen, but directors have to beg to convince halfway alright tenors not to quit.

You know you'll freeze unless you bring a sweatshirt.

It doesn’t matter how long you've been in chorus-you never learn that lesson.

You have learned the difference between Chorus guys and Drama guys- Chorus guys will look when you get dressed; drama guys won't.

Law of Nature V-The chorus room is always kept at 50 degrees below zero.

Do all your doctors appointments, surgeries, and getting sick BEFORE CHRISTMAS. You won't have time afterwards.

Law of Nature VI-You WILL get sick just before Districts.

You have learned every part to all the songs each group sings for Festival because you've heard them so many times.

If necessary you can carry your entire section.

You catch mistakes the director doesn’t and make SURE they are fixed before she does.

You have learned at least your part to all your songs by Mid-February.

You know a substitute doesn’t always mean study hall, but class is more fun without the director.

Within five minutes after every concert, you know what went wrong, who screwed up, who the director will kill first, write her sermon on concert etiquette she'll give first thing Monday morning the next week and where you're going afterwards.

The director is always right.

Even when she is wrong the director is always right.

If something out of the ordinary happens, slowly walk away, don't ask questions, and whatever you do don't tell the director.

You know to drill into the freshmen one of the most Important Rules of
Chorus-If you don't know it, DON'T SING.

Murphy's Law of State Festival-If someone has a chance to screw up a song, it will happen.

If there are two dozen tough spots in a piece of music, there will be another dozen.

.

You proudly lament about that dress from the first day you get it as a Freshman till the day you graduate.

The director is tired of hearing your Dress Laments.

You have as many Dress Laments as the director has Sermons.

You've worn it to take your brother trick or treating, but you wouldn't DARE wear it to a costume party.

You've worn it to a funeral.

You've worn it when you do a project on the Salem Witch Trials.

You decide to keep it after you graduate, because it holds so many memories of your years in chorus.

You remember most of the songs from Freshman year.

You know acapella means three to five months of hell.

Appreciate the times when you sit while singing-it won't happen very often.

A reason to love sight reading - you're usually sitting.

You actually enjoy going to rehearsals.

When you are alone, you suffocate cause there's no one telling you when to breathe.

You breathe a sigh of relief when you realize your dresses aren't as bad as some of the others around the county.

You want to kill your director for making you sit there in the auditorium listening to BAD choruses sing without eating lunch first...its torture I tell you!

You are NEVER without a pen and a pad of paper for note passing reasons.

While everyone else wants to kill the other choruses, you want to kill your director.

If you look at the judges you WILL forget your music-DON'T DO IT!

Whenever you do a buddy search, you only use words like "Musician" "Chorus" and "Singing".

At least one screen name or e-mail address has something to do with music.

You can put on your dress, makeup, tie your sash, and lament about your dress in less then two minutes.

Something about branodn and all this stuff gives me a bad feeling. i know his it's his best friend, and that he'll need brandon, but i can definatly see him and brandon spending like every moment together. as it is, i don't see/talk to brandon too much, and things have been far from smooth sailing this summer. And not to mention, a lot of the time when they hang out together a lot, brandon gets kinda jerky. sigh...does this make sense, or do you think i'm just being irrational and selfifh?

so yeah. my week.

Saturday: my party. pretty fun. played to most amusing game of vollyball ever...i think i like Chris(brnadon's best friend) a little bit more, it was sweet of him to come to my party. It was nice. saw lots of family i didn't really know i had, got lots of money.

Sunday: Went to brnadon's B-day party at his granma's sister's house. He's 19 now! He's so old. lol. then went to see Shrek 2 with him(finally) went to mijer's ant bought a Sheryl Crow CD that i can't stop listening to.

Monday: sat around pretty bored. started Thank you cards.

Tuesday: more thank you cards as well as more sitting.

Wendseday: more TY cards.Started making a web site with my sister Finally was able to see Brandon. He came over for a little while at night. .

Thurday: worked on afore mentioned Web-site. Kinda had fun with Sam...scary, i know.

Friday: so far, talked to brnadon a little and tried to get a job. blech.

Saturday: Grad. Parties!

~Notice that lack of brandon. It sucks. i feel like we are in an almost long distance relationship. I only talk to him for MAYBE about an hour a day, and don't see him very much. Last weekend was a fluck due to the parties. This is so annoying.

Choose a band and answer only in song titles/lyrics from that band.

Sheryl Crow...so she's not a band, but oh well.

***Are you female or male:

She don't believe in anything
But it you ask her, she'll say
There's plenty of things to believe in

***Describe yourself:

Here she comes, she's all dressed up in daises
Half the time, you'd swear that she is crazy

***How do you feel about yourself:

I'm just an ordinary woman
Slipping away

I'm going crazy
A little at a time
And everything I wanted
Is now driving me away

***Describe your ex girlfriend/boyfriend:

I thought you were singing your heart out to me
Your lips were syncing and now I see

***Describe your current girlfriend/boyfriend:

Well, there's no one else I would rather be kissing

He's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see his face
It takes me away to that special place
He's got eyes of the bluest skies
And if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
His hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder
And the rain
To quietly pass me by

Sweet child o' mine
Sweet love of mine

***Describe where you want to be:
This is home, home
And this is home, home
This is home

I'd like to see the Riviera
And slowdance underneath the stars
I'd like to watch the sun come up
In a stranger's arms

***Describe what you want to be:

anything but down

I'm gonna soak up the sun
I'm gonna tell everyone
To lighten up (I'm gonna tell 'em that)
I've got no one to blame

***Describe how you live:

Everyday is a winding road
I get a little bit closer
Everyday is a faded sign
I get a little bit closer to feeling fine

***Describe how you love:
After all I Won't let go

Until you're safe and sound
Until you're safe and sound
There's beauty in release
There's no one left to please
But you and me

***Share a few words of wisdom:

Dance children, dance to the beat
Wanna be a hippy cause life is so sweet
Good morning hate
Dance children, dance to the beat
Wanna rock and roll up and down the street,
I've got a message

Love is a good thing
Love is a good, love is a good,
Love is a good thing
